As his convoy comes under attack, the humvees flee the kill zone stranding him and others in their trucks. The truck in front of his is also incapacitated, and its driver is killed right in from of him. (this is off camera) Ironically, they were only delivering the mail. - Watch for the bullet hole in his wind shield. Mr. Wheeler is stuck twice by AK-47 Rounds at that point.
